Well, since we've ascertained our soap opera and porno star names, we might as well discover our hobbit names:

http://www.chriswetherell.com/hobbit/

Mine is Orangeblossom Bleecker-Baggins of Fair Downs. I seem to have married into royalty!

Drogo Loamsdown of Great Smials

Ha! From one Drogo to another! I am Drogo Frumblefoot of Bywater.

As Faldage I am Hey, there's so many of you visiting. Thanks. Will try and keep it going but the traffic load sometimes makes it unavailable. Please accept my apology if it's timing out on you or your friends.

Well, that's what I get if I insist on putting the of in there. Without it I am Drogo Maggot. I shall interpolate it and transmorgrify it and become, professionally, Drogo the Maggot

Faldage! I can't believe YOU came out to be a Bywater!
Stole my paulb's glory, literally from right under him!

Using my full name: Myrtle Took of Great Smials

Not being fond of the name Myrtle, I tried my short one:
Dimple Took of Great Smials. MUCH better!

Lovely site!

Wonder if this makes me tsuwm's second cousin thrice removed or something?

What fun!
And being married I did both maiden and married name -- here's what I got.
Maiden name :
Orangeblossom Burrows of Tuckborough
Married name :
Orangeblossom Broadbelt of Buckland
So shall I be "of Tuckborough" or "of Buckland"?
??? Your opinions please ...
I tend towards Buckland myself

If I use my full name, it makes me Grigory Goodbody of Brockenborings. Using Bob, as I do mostly, it's Mongo Goodbody of Brockenborings. Using my AWAD screen name yields Mongo Loamsdown of Great Smials.

Interesting. My Hobbitt family consists of moi, Pearl Deepelva of Breckenborings; husband Belba Deepelva, etc.; and sons (?), Camellia and Ruby . Is there something they haven't told me?

Sparteye, I knew we were soul-sisters.
Maiden - Orangeblossom Chubb-Baggins
Married - Orangeblossom Sandy-Banks

A couple of interesting things here....First, I am obviously glad to lose the Chubb in my name. I'm very sensitive to these things. Secondly, I married a southerner who loves the beach, is that where the 'Sandy Banks' comes from??

Orangeblossom Burrows of Tuckborough

or

Orangeblossom Broadbelt of Buckland

Depends. Are hobbits matrilocal or patrilocal; matrilineal of patrilineal?

You might be Burrows of Buckland or Broadbelt of Tuckborough.

Ruby and Berylla go well together. A number of precious stones are beryl, which is called "the mother of gemstones". Emerald is a green beryl, aquamarine an aquamarine beryl, etc. A ruby is not a red beryl- a red beryl goes by the exotic name of red beryl.

Drogo Moss of Lake-by-Downs...lush vegetation near water suits me just fine! Joining my fellow Drogos Faldage and Flatlander. Then, again, maybe Drogo is the Hobbit name for "Bob".

Thanks, Sparteye...loads of fun! The URL's on its way to lots of friends and children!
But I couldn't get back in for my boardname...so I'll have to check in with an edit on that later.
Edit...My boardname becomes Mungo Hamwich of Buckleberry Fern! don't say a word, Jackie!

Hmm, xara...married into...you sure in Middle Earth this doesn't make us (gulp)...husband and wife?
And, now, introducing for the first time in public...Mr. and Mrs. Hamwich of Buckleberry Fern! (Mungo and Bramblerose, respectively). What a pair, huh?!

I didn't really take to Grigory Grubb of Little Delving (my real name) and I'm not sure about Sancho Knotwise of Michel Delving (Bingley Austen) either.

Julius Caesar is Fosco Boggy-Hillocks. John Lennon=Olo Brandybuck of Buckland. Paul McCartney=Hambut Bulge of Hobbiton. George Harrison=Ponto Sandybanks of Frogmorton. Ringo Starr=Hamson Sandybanks. Adolf Hitler is Grigory Taodfoot of Frogmorton.

Thank you all for your kindnes in overlooking my stupid mistake, i.e., that I plugged in the names of my male family members into the female Hobbitt-name-finder! As usual, it was operator error (me). For the record, their "real" Hobbitt names are Hambut, Togo and Drogo Deepdelver of Brockingborings (much better).

Loamsdown must be a popular place. I'm simply Mungo Loamsdown.

I think I prefer translating Mr. Jazz Octopus better: Polo Tighfield of Tookbank.

I'm putting in famous people's names.

Our illustrious President is Squinty of Simpleton.
His predecessor-in-office was Todo Knotwise of Michel Delving.
I shall refrain from further comment.

Sorry to revive a slightly old thread, but I've been away, and I loved this one.

My hobbit name, with my real name, is Mungo Knotwise of Whitfurrows - which I love, as I have a fascination with knots. Using my screen name (actually, the full latin name of the frog I'm named after), I get the lamentable Bingo Boggy-Hillocks.

Mungo Knotwise of Whitfurrows

Bingo Boggy-Hillocks

I've noticed a tendency for real names to end in of Someplaceorother and for screen names not to. Any counter examples?
