I propose another game. The object of this amusement is to assign superhero powers based upon board names. When making an entry, you must describe the superhero attributes of the person who posted just before you. So, I'll start with a random selection, and the person who posts next must assign superpowers to SPARTEYE, superhero!

The first member of the Secret Society of Garg and Worldwide Doers of Good is Rhubarb Commando! --

RHUBARB COMMANDO! By merely uttering his battle cry, Mumpsimus!, has the power to make any target wince as if he were sucking on a tree full of lemons, causing evildoers to be rendered helpless and unable to even think of eating sourballs. Plus, with but a passing thought he can leave little stringy things stuck between their teeth.

SPARTEYE! Taken to a laboratory as a young girl, scientists toiled for days to fuse the powers of the mighty Spartan warrior and the small, brown, rotund nut! Able to blaspheme any Athenian (or Ann Arborite) and inflict painful wounds with her stinging projectiles, she doles out the law with gusto and brings equal justice to all.

Bingley - using his everlasting tub of Ukrainian sticky clay to immobilise evil doers till the law enforcement officers arrive. His catchphrase is "Stick 'em up, or I'll stick you up!" with a surprisingly evil laugh for a do-gooder.

Uttering his fierce battle cry: "Rodward, ever rodward!" our hero wields his staff to comfort even the least of his adoring fans.

Perched upon his Faldstool and wrapped in his cloak of persiflage, Faldage wages war wittily on the mucilage of the ill-writ badinage of our age.

With a touch of his ancient talisman found while spelunking, Bobyoung turns into the Cobalt Avenger...ever-ready with the powers summoned from his gleaming metallic belt to right all wrongs, to keep the world safe from bullies, and even to sign a very hefty comic book deal if need be!

WhitmanO'Neill goes by W'On, which was the outcome of every battle he has engaged in. One of W'On's special powers is the ability to instantly suss whatever is in another's mind and heart, so he can avert, seemingly by magic, the consequences of evil intent. He can also teleport himself instantaneously to wherever he wishes, further enhancing his illusion being a magical being. Thus he is known as
W'On the Wizard.

Armed with a wondrous sixth sense that enhances newbie detection, Jackie also displays the power of teletransportation, allowing her to intercept every new arrival at the AWAD portal. With boundless generosity she bestows upon them all the warmest welcome, plenty of magical good cheer, and the occasional helpful advice that comes from her elevated Pooh-Bahdom.

Brandishing her black banderilla and bestowed with bounteous beauty, the Maid Marianna marches meaningfully toward any one mystifying the myriads of maidens, matriarchs and men, who meander through the matrix that makes up this board, with wasteful or wilful words.

(Does RC get a second one??)

RhubarbCommando's greatest weapon is his irresistible rhubarb pie, the smell of which lures every criminal straight to the doorstep of his four-star restaurant (not to mention everyone else in town!).

Out of the inky black night, jets The Squid!!! With her team of trusty sidekicks (The Four Guys), The Squid truly represents the long arms of the law. Watch out evil doers, for she will charm you with the dulcet tones of her magical clarinet and bewilder you with the Germanic verb-placement skills she has mastered in her secret lair deep in a Alpine lake. And just as that participle sneaks up behind you, you turn to discover you are in the inescapable grip of The Squid!!! Coming soon to a theater near you.

Bearing the heraldic shield of a single horizontal line, Flatlander uses superhuman strength to flatten even the most villainous evil-doers. From an early childhood filled with bug-squishing and sand-castle-kicking, Flatlander's chief goal has been to even the playing field for all, and will not rest until level has been attained on a global scale. A special friend to those in wheelchairs.

With nerves of steel disguised by demeanor of cashmere, Fiberbabe does not cotton to malefactors who would try to pull the wool over our eyes. In her silky voice she bilingually puns "Al-go-don!" as she trains her rayon gun on her nemeses, spraying them with bran flakes.

Never backward in coming forward, Annastrophic's time in Brazil (where the nuts come from) stimulated her lifelong struggle against the forces of chaos. Post no bills in the wrong place while she's around! Her unerring eye for the right place for everything spreads order and decency wherever she goes.

Vixy! Representing the newest "members" of the board, faster than a speeding PM, more powerful thana strophic question, tackles old concerns with a single bloW, look, up in this guy, it's a bird, it's a mavrick, it's... it's... it's... miss-pelled.

Musick causes his enemies to fret as soon as he leaves his base – he is renowned for his dominant hand-to-hand skills that leave wrongdoers reaching for a tonic. His classic combat repertoire is timeless: the sharp poke of a stave, the shattering impact of his magic spheres, the breathless diminuendo of a garrotting chord, the major impact of a flat irony, the minor inconvenience of a note (complete with time signature) advising his victims of his possession of the key to their house…

All these and more sweet Musick deploys, to ensure the enemies of truth, justice and harmony can never breve easily!

maverick, a warrior who tex as good as he gives, and can cow all opposition with his unorthodox brand of weaponry, which appears to be punny, but certainly isn't puny. Had he taken Holy Orders he might have been a Loose Canon, but on Board, he is ma very good friend.
