Has to be an example of linguists having fun. Another term for the phenomenon, according to Wikipedia, is "tautonym." Works for me.

My favorite reduplicative name is the character Nicely-Nicely Johnson, everyone's pal and all-around good guy from the musical, "Guys and Dolls."
