Hear ye, hear ye, gather round all you Hogwash workers I've got a conundrum to be solved.

But first

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyllllantysiliogogoch

Have you heard this one before.....

On a beautiful summer's day, two English tourists were driving through Wales.

At the town of, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyllllantysiliogogoch they stopped for lunch, and one of the tourists asked the very blonde waitress, “Before we order, I wonder if you could settle an argument for us… Can you pronounce where we are, very, very, very slowly?”

The girl leaned over and said, “Burrr.... Gurrr.... King.”

Well that's just a little joke, but it shows the importance of understanding the question before we can formulate an answer. But with this game, you are being asked to give meaning to a word, you may have never heard before. What could be easier?

Now you have entered, relax and read through these daffynitions. Hidden somewhere is the real meaning, but pay it no mind.....chose the one you like best and PM it to me. Points will be awarded and counted to find the winner. The winner is the one with the most points, not necessary the one who guesses correctly, in fact, I believe I get more points if you don't guess the real answer.

Enjoy.

A) A heavy wooden container for pounding boiled cassava (maniok) to make fufu, a staple food in Congo.

B) Wagiman (also spelled Wageman, Wakiman, Wogeman) An endangered language, about to be lost, as the younger generation of the Wagiman people do not speak or even understand it.

C) Anglicized version of an Australian aboriginal expression for "one who goes walkabout."

D) n. The person designated as cook on a group outing to a remote location.

E) Wagiman: A child who is consistently truant from school.

F) WAGIMAN
(n.) VAHG-ee-mahn

A multi-colored glass flask, often decorated with amber, usually for carrying vodka. A shortened form of Wagimaniewka – a flask from the Wagi region of Poland.

G) Wagiman - the largest of a subspecies of manatee found
only in the waters of Indonesia, west of New Guinea.

H) The supreme being of the Huli tribe of Papua New Guinea.

I) Noun. A self-righteous person who's condescending attitudes towards others are based on the influence of "mob rule" rather than independent thought and free choice.

Refers to the "wagging" of the finger in an accusatory fashion.

J) Wagiman: a fertility fetish of the Tunica tribe in Mississippi.

K) ...a rudimentary Northern European pedestrian or hikers' shelter

L) WAGIMAN, n. A wandering traveler, a vagrant, a vagabond.

A big thank you to all who have entered....some regulars hogwash players, some new ones like Rob and me and also I believe, a regular contributor to UBB threads, but 1st time entering this game........and also a mystery player whistle

>chose the one you like best and PM it to me.

I hope no one follows through on this directive, as the regulars know that guesses(!) are meant to be posted in the clear, so as to make manifest the futility of trying to ferret out the True Meaning.

C...G...J...K...

I have to reject C, appealing though it may be. I'm afraid the source of the appeal is the similarity to the jolly fella who once sat beside the billabong, under the shade of a coulibah tree...

Oh, Gee, I just know there's something fishy about this one!

Pity, I sure would have given you my vote. I've taken 12 little papers with A to L and stirred them in a bowl. Out of this soup came the pure chance choice D.
As I'm a poor chance winner I'm curious who will be the lucky one.

I like the cleverness of the Polish Connection, even
the Wagi section of Poland.

So F it is.

Just mention Poland and the goog-adds bring up: 'looking for a plummer?'
I do hope they don't offer one from the Wagi section.

Then you've done all you could and it saves you one risk to be found out. I suppose you could unwrap the package unless others object within the five minutes.
