Teacork? I have never drunk tea out of a wine bottle, but then I am not well travelled...
I worked ahead with TEACAKE and came up with ACETATE but CROAKER also gets us finally out of the oven and onto some brit slang.
-A for CORKER
This word means both remarkable person and preposterous lie?

I once had tea in Cork,
there was no cork on the pot
their tea is thick as peat
you should drink it with a fork.

Branshea says that the cork of the tea:
Not the bottle but the place to be
That the tea was thick might be true
But on it could you set float your shoe?

The person to blame for this thread suddenly bursting into rhyme in an entirely unacceptable and ruthless manner is ............ Wofa. Tea corks are very inspirational.

Sorry: I often click on the "anagram stew" and go from where
it opens, instead of checking to see if there is a next page.
Mea culpa.
