BRIGANTINE is the word.
BANTERING Through BALTERING N to L to INTEGRABLE add E and scramble.
Itīs all a matter of seconds here.

This ship keeps sailing some way through my mind.

INTEGRITA

I --> E = INTEGRATE*

G --- C = INTRICATE

R --> S = INSTIGATE

*(which is leads to TANGERINE, which is getting close to TANGIERS, that collection of letters once alleged by Martin Gardiner in a Scientific American "Mathematical Games" column to have no fewer than 65 valid anagrams!)

What is integrita? The link points to a word from Czech and I could not find integrita in any of my English dictionaries. Thank you.

I admit it is slightly on the very edge of admittable, but did you try for almost two days to get out of ingratiate? shocked
I don't mind taking it back, but I'm done with ingratiate for now. smile
