Yes, that's how I pronounce it; at the same time as a Dutch word it means the rolling of drums. But where did you get a " bread on the floor laughing? " Hah!

The simple word "roll " never crossed my mind. And I mistook rofl for "roar of laughter". My, isn't it poor after a good two years of almost daily practice. $\:\($

Your command of English (as a second or third language) is quite good. My feeble jokes oftentimes are in need of such ancillary apparatus criticus—footnotes, commentary, and the like—which is detrimental to humor in general.
