beards, eh? how timely. my 16 year-old has noticed a few chin hairs, and now wants to shave. I wanted to do the fatherly thing and show him how, except I haven't shaved in over 25 years, so my credentials may be suspect.

dn: Welcome. As it appears you're being shortchanged, and in line with Jackie's comment, some years I too let mine grow into a coarse salt-and-pepper marvel when a man passing on the street called me a Dirty Jew and hit me in the face. But I thought it looked distinguished, a sort of Berkeley sedge

My 15 year-old has been shaving for a couple of years. Just do the fatherly thing and buy him a nice electric shaver. It's a no-brainer, and they do come with directions, should they be needed! :0)
