Hi Everybody ~ Does anyone know if there's ever been compiled a list of words that are identical in Latin and English? Y'know, focus, aviator, fulcrum, etc, etc ~ beau

identical in Latin and English? Y'know, focus, aviator, fulcrum, etc, etc Aviator is not a Latin word at all - the Romans had no airplanes thus no airplane pilots. The word is first recorded in 1887. And what counts as identical? In Latin, focus is a hearth/fireplace and fulcrum is the post/foot of a couch.
