How many of you know what this paragraph is talking about--without having to
look it up?
"At around 8:30 a.m., most of the 300 or so on hand here filed into an auditorium where co-organizer David Berlind proceeded to invite anyone in the crowd with a mashup they wanted to show off to step forward and introduce it. One caveat: They got only 30 seconds to explain their projects. It was like Demo on crack."

No clue. But context is a virtue.

I'm sitting on my hands, so writing this isn't easy.
Nor do I know what boingboing is.
I think there was a cartoon character named Johnny Boingboing in the 50s or 60s - probably unrelated.

No idea, but ASp is right, context is important.

I'm sure there are some paragraphs in our product documents that would be incomprehensible if there wasn't all the information around them.

Thanks,
It's gratifying to know that there were other fans in addition to myself and my older brother and parents.
I should have remembered the name, I was, after all, almost one at the time.
What a retro rush BOING! I just got.

I had so many of those rushes that I numbered them but stopped when I got to 707.
