Although I am now more than 90% descriptivist in my outlook I still HATE seeing "loose" used for "lose". Sadly, stopping it seems a Canutian endeavour. Nevertheless, my ire has it uses, as in protecting me from spammers:

I really don't notice this lose/loose business over here at the source so maybe all is not lost.
