In medicine, A68 is the symbol for a protein which is found in the brains of fetuses and infants but begins to disappear by the age of two years, but is once more found in the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease.

A second childhood.

Worse still is abasia-astasia.
But Anastasia was the Czar's youngest daughter.

I wondered at first why a post about paradise should be under "words about medicine"...and then I read the word again...not aRCADia, silly, that's aCARDia... you know, like "Pick a card, any card..."

Dear wofahulicodoc: You just don't have any patients (or patience) with acardia. Reminds me of Dr. Reginald Smithwick's associate, Dr. Whitelaw telling us about a band of gypsies that had a way of telling competent from incompetent physicians on their travels. They had a comrade
with dextrocardia. If the medic missed that, they went to a different one.
