I have the impression that a "buzzword" is a relatively new coinage, popular with a somewhar small group. Since "buzzword" been in use for several years and is widely known, it is not longer a buzzword.

buzz.word (buz´wûrd) n. A usually important-sounding word or phrase used primarily to impress laypersons.

buzz.whack.er (buz´wak er) n. A person who receives some degree of pleasure in bursting the bubbles of the pompous.

onomatopoeia

Please do not ask me to explain my thinking. You either get it or you don't.

Thanks for the endomusia, Faldo.

"What's the buzz?
Tell me what's a-happenin'!
What's the buzz?
Tell me what's a-happenin!
What's the buzz?
Tell me what's a-happenin'?
What's the buzz?
Tell me what's a-happenin'?"

"Why should you want to know...?"

Now, there's a long distance collaboration - "Timmy, it's me, I'm Carl, I've come home, I'm so cold, let me in at your window."
