In practical usage (i.e., if using them in sentences), what is the difference between shameless and shameful?

The difference is in the perspective.
Given a dastardly act, the act itself may be shameful, (yes, and the perpetrator as well if there is a pattern of such acts), but only the perpetrator, not the act, may be shameless, i.e., unrepentant.

Ah, it's nice to see such an old thread. It greatly predates me, and I'd not been aware of it before. To whomever brought it up, thank you.

Is this AWADtalk or the NRA website? I thought target practice took place elsewhere!
