I reckon on a fairly rapid skim through that there were about 20 that were completely new to me. Strangely these were almost all in the first half of the alphabet. A good list.
Today's Oxford word for the day was new to me:
bovrilize
=========
an old-fashioned verb meaning 'to condense something to its essence'. This example is from a 1911 edition of the Daily News: 'Here is one of those bovrilized announcements: Wanted, Sit. as Comp. by Eng. Lady, 35; good refs, would trav.' It's taken, of course, from Bovril, the trademark name for a concentrated essence of beef which can be diluted with hot water to make a drink.
