Author: John A Calomeni, MD, JD, Consulting Staff, Department of Emergency Medicine, Seton Medical ... http://www.emedicine.com/aaem/topic15.htmI found "anaphoric in many sites, but could not find a definition.

I first encountered "anlace" in Chaucer spelled "anlass". Not in my dictionary, but easy to find on Iternet. Here are three sites:
1.Hyper Dictionary - ... {Poniard}, {Stiletto}, {Bowie knife}, {Dirk}, {Misericorde}, {Anlace}. 2. (Print.) A mark of reference in the form of a dagger [[dagger]]. ... http://www.hyperdictionary.com/dictionary/dagger search within this site
2.http://www.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs/usr/wbardwel/public/nfalist/people_v_mcjunkins.txt - ... An "anlace" is a "tapering medieval dagger." Id. at 87. A "dirk" is commonly understood to mean a "long straight-bladed dagger formerly carried esp. ... http://www.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs/usr/wbardwel/public/nfalist/people_v_mcjunkins.txt
3.Anlace - ... Anlace. “The Excursionist”, Auguste Renoir. 01 The mp directly in front of the KI. A medieval dagger or short sword, worn in front of a person. ... http://chesmayn.valuehost.co.uk/Anlace.htm

Amazing how little curiosity our member have. I added astlochgucker, to see if anybody would notice. If I tell you "loch = hole" and "gucker = peeper" would you think the word meant proctologist?

Dear Faldage: Would a German proctologist be an arscharzt? I'll have to go look it up. I found one site: 'Als Moderator dieser sinnvonnen Diskussion möchte ich unseren Fäkalprofi und zukünftigen Arscharzt G. F. einladen."
