Just because you want to reach a goal by 2005 doesn't necessarily mean you're going to reach it.

I like the to-the-point expression of "Goals by 2005," especially if displayed as a heading to a list:

[u]Goals by 2005[/u]

1. Perfection of ultimate frozen custard
2. Ability to run the mile in under 15 minutes
3. Control of temper in almost every situation
4. Memorization of all definitions in Mrs. Byrne's dictionary
