The Forest of Rhetoric (http://humanities.byu.edu/rhetoric/silva.htm) defines it as "irony of one word" and gives as an example: Referring to a tall person: "Now there's a midget for you"
Thus it is not the category often represented incorrectly by cleave and cleave. There's a whole nother name for that which I never remember but tsuwm does.
