OP I've been losing a lot of sleep lately over the way that many organizations that use acronyms in their names could more accurately be described by alternate words to fit the acronyms. For example, the ACLU ( American Civil Liberties Union) could also be known as America's Crackpot Lawyers United, and the NRA (National Rifle Association) could be more accurately portrayed as the National Republican Army. Are any of you others sick enough to stay awake worrying about such stuff, or should I trot off for more medication?
