How about a rhopalic story game?

Rhoplic = Having each successive word longer by a letter or syllable.

A few weeks ago, the word of the day was rhopalic and AWAD readers were challenged to compose a rhoplalic news headline.

This was mine: Clandestine rendezvous uncovered: senator’s furious jilted lover uses axe! Unfortunately I did not win the tee shirt…

Add one sentence to the story. Your rhopalic sentence may start short and get longer, start long and get shorter, or go both ways. Let’s put a minimum of four words per sentence. The story doesn’t have to make a lot of sense – the goofier the better!

Here we go!

..but wait! Troll whisks reach high. Mary was OK. Merrily seated comfy atop of big oak tree twigs.
