In the early 90's, a business client of mine used the word "incent" as a verb. He was a sales manager, and the word made perfect sense, since he was regularly trying to incent his salesmen to greater efforts.
At first, I protested that "incent" was not a word, but as time has gone by, I often use the word and people seem to understand the meaning.
How can I incent you to research whether "incent" is being used as a verb in print?
