"Maybe Milo doesn't like Harry Chapin." - Father Steve

Notso, Father Steve. I also know happy little tunes that mention
"pimps and whores, punk gang wars, robberies and homicides".
It's just that you beat me to the punch and I didn't notice. Sorry.
-----------

Feeling better, now that we're through
Feeling better, cause I'm over you
I've learned my lesson, it left a scar
Now I see how you really are

You're no good, you're no good, you're no good
Baby, you're no good (I'm gonna say it again)
You're no good, you're no good, you're no good
Baby, you're no good

I broke a heart, that's gentle and true
Yes, I broke a heart over someone like you
I'll beg his forgiveness on bended knee
I wouldn't blame him if he said to me

You're no good, you're no good, you're no good
Baby, you're no good (I'm gonna say it again)
You're no good, you're no good, you're no good
Baby, you're no good

I'm telling you now baby now, that I'm goin my way
Forget about me baby, cause I'm leaving this day

You're no good, you're no good, you're no good
Baby, you're no good (I'm gonna say it again)
You're no good, you're no good, you're no good
Baby, you're no good

You're No Good

Milo ~

All is well. No problem. Try this.

"And the line was drawn for another showdown
Like they'd always seen and done
And one mans night for a drunken old time
Left a scar on another one

Going out for a night on the town
Going out to the smoke and trees
Going out for a night on the town
Going out for a look and see
Said do what your daddy told you
Well I just went out and did that
Van and Willie went out one night."

Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys
Hang them high in the street for all the people to see,
that...

Justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys
You got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune
Then we'll all meet back at the local saloon
We'll raise up our glasses against evil forces
Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

Beer For My Horses

Gunsmoke trail. Oh tell me of days gone by.
Tho' alone you still wind your way?
Are the ghostly horsemen riding,
As they speed eastern mail?
It's up to you see them through Gunsmoke trail.

The Gunsmoke has now faded from the blazing forty-fours!
The stage coach is rustin' on the hill.
The wagon wheels you used to feel, will sing their song no more!
The sound of the caravan is still! Gunsmoke trail.

No trav'ler to care where you go,
Sands of time are hidin' your way!
Bet if heaven ever let you
You could tell a rugged tale!
That's why I hate to see you fade.
Gunsmoke trail. Gunsmoke trail.

Shades of night are falling
As the wind be-gins to sigh
And the world's silhou-etted a-gainst the sky.

Blue Shadows on the Trail
Blue moon shinin' through the trees.
And a plain--tiff wail--- from the distance
Comes a driftin' on the evening breeze.

Move a-long, Blue Shadows, move a-long
Soon the dawn will come and you'll be on your way

The mama looked down and spit on the ground
Everytime my name gets mentioned
The papa said oy, if I get that boy
I'm gonna stick him in the house of detention
Well I'm on my way
I don't know where I'm going
I'm on my way

I'm taking my time
But I don't know where
Goodbye to Rosie the queen of Corona
See you, me and Julio
Down by the schoolyard
See you, me and Julio
Down by the schoolyard
Me and Julio down by the schoolyard...

Down on the corner, out in the street,
Willy and the poorboys are playin’;
Bring a nickel; tap your feet.

Rooster hits the washboard and people just got to smile,
Blinky, thumps the gut bass and solos for a while.
Poorboy twangs the rhythm out on his kalamazoo.
Willy goes into a dance and doubles on kazoo.

Chuck wrote and recorded "What Am I Living For?" and
"I Don't Want To Hang Up My Rock and Roll Shoes" in 1957
and then died before both songs rose to near the top of
the charts. He also wrote this song but I can't remember
all the words...yet.

(spoken)
You know girls, I know you get tired of that man of yours
coming home in dirty clothes, and smelling like cheap stale beer,
and I know that sometimes you'd like to throw him out and get
somebody new, But let me tell you...

(sung)
If you think that nobody wants him
Just put him out in the streets and you will see
Some woman will have your man,
Before you can count, one, two, three.

You might be a rock 'n' roll addict prancing on the stage,
You might have drugs at your command, women in a cage,
You may be a business man or some high degree thief,
They may call you Doctor or they may call you Chief

But you're gonna have to serve somebody , yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody.

Well they call me the Doctor
In my neighborhood,
And the women they alls call me,
Doctor Feelgood.

Well you talk about women
I love 'em all
I love 'em big
And I love 'em tall
But if you don't weigh what I want, Baby
Don't come 'round at all.

Yeah you have to weigh
Three hundered pounds
Cause I am the Doctor
And I likes my women round

Well you talk about the women
In my neighborhood
And the women they talk about,
Doctor Feelgood

If you don't weigh what I want
Don't come 'round at all.

Dr. Feelgood
