Lady

Lady, when you're with me I'm smiling
Give me all your love
Your hands build me up when I'm sinking
Touch me and my troubles all fade
Lady, from the moment I saw you
Standing all alone
You gave all the love that I needed
So shy, like a child who has grown

'Cause you're my lady of the morning
Love shines in your eyes
Sparkling, clear, and lovely
You're my lady

You're in luck, your cute Styx song reminded me of an early Ray Charles song forgotten by time and his movie.
Guess it and win a kiss.

Well you've heard my song (I want to know)
And my song is true (I want to know)
But just remember, baby (I want to know
I'm depending on you (I want to know)
'cause I want to know (I want to know)
I want to know right now (I want to know)
Will you stand by me?

"cause when I'm down (up, up, up)
Oh Lawd pick me up (up, up, up)
Yaaaaaaooooh, and stand by me
(OhooooooooooOh! stand...by... meeee)

Come on etaoin, I'll email you a little hint.

Sorry girls, you lose, etaoin is johnny-on-the-spot with the correct answer.

Doesn't surprize, that etaoin has got a head on his shoulders
like a glass of beer which is exactly what will be waiting on him free-on-board at Faunsdale Cajun Bar and grill,
open at 3:00 in the morning during deer season.

Congratulations, etaoin.

OK, etaoin, here is your kiss

(Click on the record entitled "The Gypsy")

She looked at my hand and
Told me my lover was true
Yet in my heart I knew
Someone else, was was kissing you.

The Ink Spots were my dad's favorite group. Brings back memories. Thanks Milo!

Happy to oblige, Kelly123
My great Uncle Kenny would argue with himself long and loud about who had more panache,
the upstart Ink Spots or the Brothers Mills.

Across the alley from the Alamo
Lived a pinto pony and a Navajo
Who sang a sort of Indian "Hi-de-ho"
To the people passin' by

The pinto spent his time a-swishin' flies
And the Navajo watched the lazy skies
And very rarely did they ever rest their eyes
On the people passin' by

One day, they went a walkin' along the railroad track
They were swishin' not a-lookin' Toot! Toot!, they never came back

Oh, across the alley from the Alamo
When the summer sun decides to settle low
A fly sings an Indian "Hi-de-ho"
To the people passing by.

Actually, The Mills Brothers were neck and neck with The Ink Spots now that you mention it.....and now for something completely different:

Movin' to Montana soon
Gonna be a Dental Floss tycoon
(yes I am)
Movin' to Montana soon
Gonna be a mennil-toss flykune
I'm pluckin' the ol' Dennil Floss
That's growin' on the prairie
Pluckin' the floss!
I plucked all day an' all nite an' all Afternoon...
I'm ridin' a small tiny hoss
(His name is MIGHTY LITTLE)
He's a good hoss
Even though He's a bit dinky to strap a big saddle or
Blanket on anyway
He's a bit dinky to strap a big saddle or
Blanket on anyway
Any way I'm pluckin' the ol' Dennil Floss
Even if you think it is a little silly, folks
I don't care if you think it's silly, folks
I don't care if you think it's silly, folks
I'm gonna find me a horse
Just about this big
An' ride him all along the border line
With a Pair of heavy-duty
Zircon-encrusted tweezers in my hand
Every other wrangler would say
I was mighty grand
By myself I wouldn't
Have no boss
But I'd be raisin' my lonely Dental Floss
Raisin' my lonely Dental Floss
Raisin' my lonely Dental Floss
Well I might Ride along the border
With my tweezers gleamin'
In the moon-lighty night
And then I'd Get a cuppa cawfee
N' give my foot a push...
Just me 'n the pymgy pony
Over the Dennil Floss Bush
N' then I might just Jumb back on
An' ride Like a cowboy
Into the dawn to Montana
Movin' to Montana soon
(Yippy-Ty-O-Ty-Ay)
Movin' to Montana soon
