Just a little green Like the color when the spring is born There'll be crocuses to bring to school tomorrow Just a little green Like the nights when the Northern lights perform There'll be icicles and birthday clothes And sometimes there'll be sorrow

It’s not easy being green
It’s not that easy being green; Having to spend each day the color of the leaves. When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold- Or something much more colorful like that. It’s not easy being green. It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things. And people tend to pass you over ‘cause you’re not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water- or stars in the sky. But green’s the color of Spring. And green can be cool and friendly-like. And green can be big like an ocean, or important like a mountain, or tall like a tree. When green is all there is to be It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why? Wonder, I am green and it’ll do fine, it’s beautiful! And I think it’s what I want to be.

not a contiguous word match, but...
I may not always love you But long as there are stars above you You never need to doubt it I’ll make you so sure about it
God only knows what I’d be without you
If you should ever leave me Though life would still go on believe me The world could show nothing to me So what good would living do me
God only knows what I’d be without you
If you should ever leave me Well life would still go on believe me The world could show nothing to me So what good would living do me
God only knows what I’d be without you

See the stone set in your eyes See the thorn twist in your side I wait for you Sleight of hand and twist of fate On a bed of nails she makes me wait And I wait without you
With or without you With or without you...

They sat together in the park As the evening sky grew dark, She looked at him and he felt a spark tingle to his bones. 'Twas then he felt alone and wished that he'd gone straight And watched out for a simple twist of fate.

We got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout, We've been talkin' 'bout Jackson, ever since the fire went out. I'm goin' to Jackson, I'm gonna mess around, Yeah, I'm goin' to Jackson, Look out Jackson town.
Well, go on down to Jackson; go ahead and wreck your health. Go play your hand you big-talkin' man, make a big fool of yourself, Yeah, go to Jackson; go comb your hair! Honey, I'm gonna snowball Jackson. See if I care.
When I breeze into that city, people gonna stoop and bow. (Hah!) All them women gonna make me, teach 'em what they don't know how, I'm goin' to Jackson, you turn-a loose-a my coat. 'Cos I'm goin' to Jackson. "Goodbye," that's all she wrote.
But they'll laugh at you in Jackson, and I'll be dancin' on a Pony Keg. They'll lead you 'round town like a scalded hound, With your tail tucked between your legs, Yeah, go to Jackson, you big-talkin' man. And I'll be waitin' in Jackson, behind my Jaypan Fan.

Take my word, the mockingbird He will sing the saddest kind of song, He knows things are wrong and he's right. From natchez to mobile, from memphis to st. joe, Wherever the four winds seem to blow, I've been in some big towns and I've heard me some big talkin', But there is one thing I know, A woman's a two-face, she's a worrisome thing Who'll leave you to sing the blues in the night.

After all Jacks are in their boxes And the clowns have all gone to bed You can hear happiness staggering on down the street Footprints dressed in red.
And the Wind whispers Mary

Put on your red dress, baby 'cause we're goin' out tonight Put on your red dress, baby 'cause, we're goin' out tonight I'm gonna wear some boxin' gloves 'case some fool might wanna fight Put on your high-heel sneakers, Wear your wig-hat on your head Put on your high-heel sneakers, Wear your wig-hat on your head You're a right fair looking woman, I'm pretty sure you're gonna knock 'em dead High Heel Sneakers _________________Tommy TuckerComplete this one line ethnic rhyme for extra points: Little Tommy Tucker was a mean ____ _____.
