Is there a word to describe the process of raising a number to the power of itself, such as 4^4, 7^7, or any n^n? And if so, is there a word for the root of such an operation, as in e is the _____ of 15.1542622 or i is the _____ of 0.207879576?

I've never heard of any such term, but it seems like such a thing ought to have a name. self-exponentiation, perhaps?

As a matter of fact I do mind but I'm not the czar of mathematical nomenclature so who cares.

so, reading between the lines, this is a simple case of the math function tetration, wherein the operator is two(2): 1^1, 2^2, 3^3, 4^4, 5^5, ad absurdum [for operator of 3: 1^1^1, 2^2^2, 3^3^3, etc.]
