I give up. I know there's a way to access Google's image archives, but for the life of me I cannot figure it out today. Managed to find the one for Earth Day 03, but not this year's.

Unfortunately, the archive doesn't keep regional variants, apparently. Today, April 25, is ANZAC day, and google.co.nz and google.com.au have a Google graphic that reflects this, albeit in a very ozcentric fashion. A search of the archives failed to turn up any of the previous ANZAC Day Google logos, so it appears that only Google.com logos are archived.

An article in our paper today said that they are thinking of opening stock-buying in Google to the public, and that if they do, the original investors' income will skyrocket.

I wondered about that. Did you catch the date for applications?
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by April 1, 2007 and have proof of earth residency.
When did this ad first appear? 25 days ago exactly, perhaps? :-)

I was at Gallipoli (Gelibolou) for the dawn ceremony on Sunday. While it was a great experience - quite moving for me, since my grandfather was there and charged up Chunuk Bair on August 8, 1915 - Google was noticeable mostly by its absence. Well, there were some 14,000 Ausralians, New Zealanders and Turks there, but funnily enough there's no Internet cafe at all!
