I'm torn between c and n. On balance I think I'll go for n.

that pretty much wraps it up then; I'll post the compleat® results later, but I believe that ASp and Wordwind guessed the matter correctly and Flatlander made a triumphant (-phal?) return by garnering three votes for his b) a scoundrel or rogue.

(way to go max; you've returned to form! :)

Not quite - it seems that the exercise was not entirely pointless for me.

Are half-points awarded?

max corrects with a triumphal (-phant?) smile.

triumphal, triumphant (adjs.)
Triumphal means “in honor of a triumph,” “like a triumph,” as in We had a triumphal celebration. Triumphant means “victorious,” “elated over a success,” as in She was wearing a triumphant smile.
- The Columbia Guide to Standard American English. 1993.

well now, there's a fine line -- I still don't know which is better to use in these two cases.

>half-point?

Harrumph®! I came this close to getting my traditional donut, until rescued at the very last possible opportunity by the kindness of one who chose to vote for my daffynition, and now someone wants to halve that point? How sharper than an ASp's tooth it is, ...

I betchya ASp was referring to your waffling on b) or o) [as was I], I betcha, failing to realize your actual point(s) [as did I] (depending on the actual point(s) system in actual effect at this actual point in time).

Ah, I see. Having been conned by that cymric cad into voting with him, I had forgotten my temporary vacillation. That's what you get for listening to someone in marketing!
