Current related topic/tangent: Mad cow's disease here in the states. I read an article this morning and it was indicated that there has been an unsuccessful movement in Congress to prevent the beef industry from selling 'downers' (or sick or injured cattle that can no longer walk) to be slaughtered for human consumption. Beef industry wins; the population loses.
