Dear Capfka: I forbrear to mention the number of times I have posted the source of these words. They are the llst of "infrequently used" words given to contestestants in the Scripps-Howard National Spelling Bee ;ast spring, 180 pages of them. My rationale is that if fourteen year olds are expected to learn them, we wordworshipers have no good excuse for not knowing them. If you have better words to post, why don't you post them?

No, I don't have "better" words to post. I was merely commenting on the continuously dreary nature of the meanings of the words you were posting. Cancer, death destruction.

Now why is it parataxis looks so familiar to me this morning as I awaken?
Have we discussed it before. I could liu, but I'm just wu.
The idea of stringing out a group of unrelated sentences seems like the prewriting stage of the writing process--freewriting--jot down anything that pops into your head; don't worry about the relationship between sentences; free up the imagination.
What other uses might there be for parataxis? Or is it some kind of mental disorder?
