I play piano pretty well, violin up to a intermediate level, African drums a bit well with instructions from a master... But I cannot catch a ball or, indeed, any projectile. All that said, I prefer to use my left hand in certain circumstances; my right, in others. I would much rather use the left hand in the customary way on the fingerboard and let the right hand and arm work out the sensitivity required of bowing. I thought it might be interesting to add on this thread that my right hand is ever-so-slightly larger than my left. If a southpaw is a southpaw, doesn't that make the others northpaws?
