Dear Jackie,

Only after she has been inducted...

For some years prior to 01-01-01 (I still love that!),
our medical insurance required us to obtain the approval of our "primary care physician" before going to a specialist, who could be any one from a pre-approved list. Now, though,
we have a new insurance plan, and our main Dr.'s office
has a list of different specialty practices we can go to
without prior approval--as long as we go to one particular place named in each specialty. The reason, they tell me, is because, under this plan, these particular
offices are "capitated". I've been afraid to ask.

May I direct your attention, O Venerated One, to Sparteye's post on page one of this thread ... since there were no objections I acceded to the designation and donned the mantle. Excuse me as I must now go trim the candle in front of Anu's picture and refresh the flowers at your shrine.

Did you hear about the tourists who visited Beethoven's grave? They heard music coming from somewhere, and were able to identify it as his 9th symphony being played backwards. Guess what - he was decomposing!

Dear francais3.1514 : I challenge you to construct a term meaning "Having the ability to identify music played backwards." You started it, remember? wwh

Er--actually, I was making a too-lengthy link between
depreciate and deduct.

...I [wow] acceded to the designation and accepted the mantle.

If you lose your position as High Priestess, does this mean you have been dismantled?

.. and if either wow or Jackie lose their powers to weave spells over us (like Ænigma does?) both they and we will become disenchanted.
