Boy, does this "non-word thread" (as tsuwm calls it) need closure. What began as a sophisticated intellectual exercise has now become a spate of one-word grunts.

Why the heck is the dancing girl's foot shadow shown in the depiction?

Hint: It is not for Art that her foot shadow is shown.

BranShea: You are an accomplished artist of note in watercolor circles. Please go back and look at the relationship between the shadow and the turn. Then come back here and explain the relationship and the effect to us and then we can all go home.
