Latrinalia - a large fraction of all graphiti. His ambition is very small, who writes his name
on a latrine wall.I found a psychology paper that stated "latrinalia" was a recent coinage,
but regrettably did not give date.
Most are idiotic, a few a bit clever. The best one I recall, was written on the wall behind
a seat that still showed the shoe prints of some pathologically paranoid pediculophobe were
clearly seen.
The next visitor to that part of the facility had written "You might as well sit on the seat,
the crabs in here jump fifteen feet."

Latrinalia

Could also be a Festival celebrating the God of Latrines.

I thought the first entry was going to be "numismatist."

(aside) Does this mean we're ready for a new round of Hogwash?

"Latrinalia" came from a list of words I was given by person who prefers anonymity.
They all look a bit amateurishly contrive coinages, and many led me to porno sites.
SO I did not use them in posts. Here is list for anyone who wants to check them out.
Tripsolagnophilia Coitobalnism Sasifricosis Faunoiphilia Brassothesauriast Paraphilia
Typhlobasia Eunoterpsia Amychesis Mammaquatia Cingulomania Ozoamblyrosis

I only just found this thread now, searching for latrinalia relating to the new graffiti thread; but here is the poop on the coinage of this. Professor Dundes was the real deal in folklore and anthropology and developed a field of study in latrinalia, which he called (per force) 'latrinology'.

Here I Sit—A Study of American Latrinalia. Papers of the Kroeber Anthropological Society (1966)

here's his CV (in pdf format): http://ls.berkeley.edu/dept/anth/dundes.cv.pdf
