It's been a while since I posted here, and since I'm doing a teaching qualification right now thought I should let you all know that, as an English/history teacher, I do indeed have devious plans for introducing students to AWAD - at least to the extent of, say, writing the word on the board and making it a competition to figure out the theme, or something like that... altho the lag between US and Aust might make that a pain (I get the daily email in the evening). So it will indeed be utilised!

I guess I should point out that I was introduced to AWAD (well, the newsletter bit anyway) by my English teacher, but I think I'm the only one in the class who's actually followed up the suggestion as most (all?) of the class just didn't seem interested in getting A Word A Day, and I have always kinda been the eccentric wierdo! (In class, that is, I think I fit in all right here, don't you? )

Yes, poor thing. And to think, you had your whole future ahead of you...

Basically, you've become the type of person your family and friends were warning you against.
