the typical man utters 10,000 words every day, the woman, 25,000.

See, that's why you only utter 10,000 words a day.

inspissation

As Clemenceau once said (pardon my poorly-recalled high school french),

Ah, si je peut pisser comme Lloyd George parle!
Oh, if I could piss the way Lloyd George speaks!

Dear Keiva: there are two ways of interpreting that pronouncement. Either Lloyd George had a remarkable ability to conserve on verbiage, or Clemenceau enjoyed emptying his bladder.

Reminds me of a highschool French joke, about the gendarme seeing a student urinating against a college building. "Defense de pisser ici!" "Je ne pisse pas, je m'amuse." "Alors, vive le sport!"

Well counted, Mr. tsuwm. I'll be brief. This maths out to...

By the age of forty, the average man has spoken, heard, or read 40,000,000,000 words, (give or take a sentence of two).

A woman, well, considerably more.

No wonder we argue on this board. GOD HELP US! We are all Experts!

What's that word for "identifying exactly that which you are stating that you won't mention"?

Can we have an English version for we poor monolinguals, Dr. Bill?

Well, I haven't taken any French, but I think it basically says:

"Hey you, stop pissing." "I'm not pissing, I'm amusing my self." "Ok then, long live sport."
