I know we have discussed this before but I can't find it using search function.

I want to know why we say a man was hanged instead of he was hung (well sometimes we say he was hung but we ladies are generally talking amongst ourselves out of earshot of of you gents - y'all being sensitive and all about those things)

Can someone point me in the right direction? (still talking about hanged here so don't you be getting any ideas)

[how'd he find that?]
I searched for hanged and hung, changing the "search option" to "And".

tsuwm searched for hanged and hung, changing the "search option" to "And" and was struck with carpal tunnel syndrome in the process.
