Anu didn't post this week's theme, so I will, noblesse oblige
pardon my French

Retail therapy is good if you have a lot of discretionary income. It's also kinda good when you're selling books, and can help folks find what they want, even if they remember neither the title not the author.

What's the etyomology of "retail"? Or MILIU?

the etyomology of "retail"

I see that the etymology of "retail" is:

[ME<OFr. retaille, piece cut off < retailler, to cut up : re- (intensive) + TGailler, to cut. --see tailor]

Well, since the word history points to cutting things up, perhaps those thus afflicted should "retail" those credit cards.

In my youth, during a school Halloween costume parade in which I was dressed as a cat, my tail became disconnected from the rest of my costume. I spent the rest of the day with my tail in my hand asking people if they knew where there was a retail store.
