Oh, AnnaS ! Such a pretty lady .... And the box of grits had me grinning ear to ear!

I sent my picture off (courtesy of the local Cyber Cafe) at about 3:30 p.m. EDT, and there is that time difference that I can't figure out offhand.
I'm sure it will be posted as soon as MaxQ recovers from the shock, re-sets all the clocks in his house, and has the time!
(running for cover, all dressed in "camos.")
wow
Heavens! AEnigma saw "camos" correctly as camouflage! Will wonders never cease!

besides, those onion things frighten me

Those aren't onions. They're the ends of shoe strings or pull-strings for a jacket. If you look at the top you can see the braided threads. I'm not quite sure what that has to do with the name maverick, though.

And Max, is there any logical order to how you've arranged the photos? They're obviously not in alphabetical or chronological order.

Don't feel bad, b96. I've always seen them as onions too. (Well, shallots or leeks, really...)

But I can see the shoelace interpretation now that you mention it.

One way or the other, give it up, Mav!

I looked at the site again, after you changed it, and the picture I had seen saying maxq now says rodward, and maxq is by a picture that hadn't been there before, so I now see the source of our slight confusion at the beginning of the thread.

Well, now both CapK and Maximus have had fun taking a 'leek' over my picture! What a shame that in all my mongrel mix of blood (which does include bits of English, Scandinavian, and a little Jewish I think), there is actually no Welsh stock - so the patron sainted vegetable of Wales is pwobably more appwopwiate elsewhere

But I will see if I can get my techno head around the logistics of this challenge quite soon.

Mav, thanks for reminding me of why there are leeks in your picture--been trying Search, with no luck.

I still can't see wow's picture.

Emanuela--you snuck it in so quietly, Dearest! Oh, you are gorgeous!

You-all: I really, really, really, really hate seeing my name in a subject title.
