I believe there is a word (or brief phrase) in German that is used to refer to someone who has an innate ability to notice typographical errors or mispronunciations. I read an article about it many years ago in the Los Angeles Times, but have been unable to find it since. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!

I got some German speaking Facebook friends. I'll ask there.

Not unless they go all over you about the errors they've found. I'm getting some responses on my Facebook question but nothing quite serious yet. The best seems to be Typologe.

Typologe

I enjoy the terms pilkunnussija in Finnish and (as noted by one of the comments on your FB posting and referred to above in my subject line) and the German Korinthenkacker.

Not unless they go all over you about the errors they've found.

Unfortunately that seems to be par for the course.

Would i be considered guilty of Arschloching for pointing out that it was Z who changed the title?
