What about what's growing in your beard?

There was an old man with a beard
Who said, "It is just as I feared.
Two owls and a hen,
Three larks and wren
Have all built their nests in my beard".

Hi, I am Vettakode, a new member from Kerala in South India. An amusing fact that came to my mind in the context of this week beingcelebrated as "hairy" : A famous writer in Malayalam, named vaikam Muhammed Basheer, in a novel called "Magic Cat" has divided the world's religions on the basis of the fashions of hair and beard they follow: some allow hair to grow, some prescribe the shape of the beard, some allow only hair, some only beard!! he calls the religions as "hair"y ones!

vcode/live each day, the best way!

In analogy with tonsillectomy and tonsillotomy would
pogonectomy be the right word for shaving and pogonotomy for trimming a beard?
Just a thought!

Welcome to both V's
I wonder how .....he would classify
medieval.............. monks who
shaved a............. large bald
spot in the........middle of
the heads but.....let the edges
grow. Probably effective in
preventing vanity though.
