I am appalled at this egregious grammatical error from the pen of a self-proclaimed guardian of the purity of the language.

I am appalled

Much Beloved Faldage ~

I am so sorry to hear that you are appalled and hope that you get over it quite soon and completely. I recommend that you take two aspirin, take to your bed and don't take yourself too seriously.

Fong takes the task of not taking himself seriously very seriously, Father Steve. But I am so glad to see you offering health as well as moral advice - the complete head to soul service.

Actually, dear Fong, our beloved padre more than likely penned not this humorous proverb. Analects are merely collections of snippets of what other sages have written. Our dear padre has revealed to us yet another of his many talents -- he reporteth the news, not maketh it. (so to speak.)

Whilst I would happily discuss this topic for a few hours, experience has demonstrated to me, at least, that this particular board is at its best when kept for discussions about words. I think that there is an excellent, diverse and academically referenced discussion on this topic over at
Wikipedia.

And I think Wikipedia just about sums it up.

Thanks Jo.

Then he should of added the [sic]. It went out over his name, he's responsible. Harrumph®!
