Its a commonly used word around here:) Is there an official spelling of the "word"/sound that the Bronx cheer identifies? If not, can the sound be spelled and what is the correct spelling? Since the sound doesn't occur in any languages as a normal phoneme, the IPA that would be used, as well as the name, are up in the air. The usual spelling I've seen in English is something like "thhpp!" Ceci n'est pas un seing.
