May we all have pure water to drink, clean air to breathe, good food to eat, dear friends to love, and good words to hear in this newest twelvemonth.
Oh yeah - and a wise owl to listen.

It is still the Feast of Saint Sylvester of Rome here on the Left Coast. Kinda jumping the gun, aren't you?

MAY THIS YEAR BRING US TO UNDERSTAND
THAT HAPPINESS IS NOT EXTERNAL BUT IS
CREATED BY US WITHIN OUR OWN HEART
AND BY OUR OWN MIND.___________________ PEACE*

*( This holiday greeting is not intended as a slight to the Chinese who have their own calendar which is just as good as our calendar and maybe even better, And of course we don't want to forget the poor Inuits who have only a two-day calendar which is just fine... and what about the Aztecs who had a calendar longer than the Aztecs themselves mainly because the white male Europeans slaughtered them routinely; sometimes cutting off their toes to get to their golden toe rings and so forth.)

I thought the Inuit peoples used a calendar which compounded lunar and solar time, based on the appearance of certain stars as predictors of how long the sun would be near or away. But, if they actually used a two-day calendar, good for them, in that every other day would be the weekend.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

Haven't been here in a long time - have missed many people here and the place itself! Hope to contribute more this year. Thanks for creating a small oasis in a rushed universe. Good health, love and peace to everyone - may '05 bring all your dreams to fruition!
