The word "egeria" in AWAD Archives reminded me of "progeria"
Progeria is a genetic disorder that occurs in children and acts to accelerate the aging process so that children who suffer from it age at five to ten times the normal rate, and usually die of the type of cardiovascular diseases that afflict older people. The reported incidence of the disease is about one in eight million births worldwide.

Wasn't there a film with Robin Williams as a boy suffering from this?

Dear Bingley: I searched for "film Robin Williams progeria" and found confirmation of your conjecture, but I could not
copy it to show it here.

It's called Jack. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116669/ I wasn't too impressed by it as a movie, and it's a fantastical interpretation of progeria ~ more like Big, which I find a preferable watch (as one-word titles go).
