the lin of patroclinous reminds me of limn have we done that word? i don't think so.. maybe i'll move it above the fold.. (unless a better mind points out we discussed it last week, and i have already forgotten!)

Dear of troy: I deplore any reluctance to repeat topics discussed months ago. The word "limn" has a pleasing poetic quality. Particularly when trouble is taken to make the "n" faintly audible. I am unable to guess how "patroclinous" reminded you of it. Post away, please.

Limn does imply a quill rather than a Bic doesn't it.
