does anyone know the plural of the word talisman?

My dictionary says talismans. But it's kind of like mongoose, nothing sounds really "correct."

I would have to agree with Ted in saying that the plural is talismans. I don't think the 'man' at the end relates to the male of the human race, so it wouldn't be talismen. One says humans, not humen.

Yes, it's talismans. It seems odd to think of asking how many talismen someone has.
