Wow! Thanks, Dr. Bill! I never knew that '-xen-' means 'foreign'. I think they went a little far in a couple from this group, though:
-dom 'state of ...'

alcoholdom, angeldom, antdom, beggardom, birddom, bishopdom, Christendom, citizendom, doctordom, dukedom, exiledom, fabledom, factordom, fairydom, fossildom, gangdom, Hebrewdom, Jewdom, kittendom, Manchesterdom, Maoridom, Mormondom, motherdom, orphandom, playerdom, pygmydom, richdom, Serbdom, serfdom, teacherdom, Torydom, vassaldom, Yahoodom, Yankeedom, Zuludom

Yahoodom?? Come on...!

if "dom" = "state of," then what is a condom? <eg>

if "dom" = "state of," then what is a condom? A state of antipathy? ;-)

I'm disappointed that they haven't discovered the 'pyg' family yet.
