Jackie, or anyone who knows, it says
in the box on the right which may change at any time,
that "Who's Online"
1 registered 1 invisible
along with 64 guests.
Question: what is an invisible registered poster???

maybe it is a guest that was eaten by one of those spiders!

Probably as good an explanation as any!

[snort]! laugh It means that someone has chosen in their Preferences not to have their name show when they're here. I don't trust that listing too far, though: sometimes I show up when I'm here, and sometimes I don't! (figure that one out)

try this: if you leave yourself logged in you would think you'd always show up as registered online; but I think after a time, if you don't post, you 'vanish' and then the next time you come here, although you're still logged in, you don't show up in the list until you post again.

or maybe it's all just random (not likely, this being a deterministic environment, and all that).

I often don't show up. And what is a spider here anyway? Did it come in and sit down beside her

If you reload the page you're visiting you show up in the list. Anyone who shows up while you're there will see you in the list, whether you see you or not. If you reload enough pages, you start showing up in new pages, because the system finally realizes that you're tired of being treated like a nobody.

also, it takes a while to show your name in the 'Who's Online' box, but your smiley lights up in the threads, so others will notice.

And, sometimes I come back (after signing off) and it is showing me still online.

You can get more up to date info by clicking on the 'Who's Online'
and it takes you to a page that shows who's around and what everybody is looking at. This page updates every few minutes.

But the invisible people chose to go incognito..they are members not visitors and you only know when they are on line if they post something LOL

I did not know it until just this moment reading the thread.
Amazing how many were looking at the Anagram thread, yet
never contribute.

Takes a while to catch your breath?
That's a sign a good time was had by all.
