I've tried to contact her through Awad's Personal Message venue without a response.
You see (well, Uncle Bill can't) William Hunt is going blind. He can only see postings on the net if the words are enlarged ten-fold and he is able to hear only periodic spatter with his 86 year old ears.
But he emailed me. He wanted to know how Theresa was doing.
He sees Theresa (Wordwind), as one of the brightest lights of his long life on this long World.
Well, just maybe, Theresa, Wordwind, is not as wonderful as Blind Bill Hunt thinks she is.
But Bill and I think so.
I happen to think so, too. I haven't heard from her since she unplugged her computer. Has it been two years already? I'd love to know she is fine and doing well.
Maybe you should snail mail her, Milo.
I phoned her last September. She was fine then and said she wanted to take a rest from the internet. Haven't heard from her since. Maybe you should snail-mail her, as Connie suggested.
I think she's pretty special too. I do miss her but we also need to respect her need to unplug. Definitely snail mail her. I'm sure she'll be really pleased.
i miss her too.. so if you snail mail her, let her know she is often thought of by her friends here at AWAD.
Of course! Snail mail. I'll snail mail her today and tell her that she is often in the thoughts of her friends at AWAD and if or when she answers I'll report back.
Snail mail...what a capital idea!
Thank you.
Amazing how quickly our lives have changed, eh?
I had exactly the same reaction recently when I got a letter from a friend who lives in Florida during the winter.
My reaction was..."huh. A letter. In a little green envelope. With a stamp." Sheesh, I didn't even have stationery anymore. I had to go out and buy some.
Just received a snail-mail from the lady today...she's doing fine.
Thanks for letting us know WON
the: Thank you but I'm not sure you shoud have revealed the contents of a personal message. At another site when somebody did that, perfectly innocently, he was roundly criticized, dragged through the muck, and ultimately banned entirely from the site

Good Lord! Who could it have been?
He didn't read out her letter Dale. He was letting us know that she's fine. WW was always a good friend and would naturally want him to pass the message along.
The last time another AWAD member spoke to her she specifically asked that the message be passed too.
If you really don't see the difference between the two, let me know.
