Was Wales once so violent? Nevermind, I want to live there!

These look like venerable and inspirational places. I was transported for a lovely moment.
I’ll raise brandied eggnog or two to you Mav, and to all the venerable and inspirational folks on the AWAD board. I very glad I found this delightful place.
Peace

Thanks - I love egg nog! Bless you all

Yes, it was once a violent and bloody land, but very welcoming now. If you look at the Welsh language version, btw, you'll see a typical process of elision in Welsh: "ond y 'dolig" is shortened from Nadolig, and I am sure you can see the connection between Nadolig, nativity and so on. [/obligatory word post!]

What lovely Castles and countryside, Mav. Thank you for the link.

We were fortunate to visit Wales in 1992. Conwy Castle was impressive. I'm proud that some of my ancestors were Welsh. Now if only I were clever enough to learn the language. Ah well.
